UK Business Secretary unveils reforms to give consumers a better deal

On 11 April 2018 the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, the Competition and Markets Authority , and The Rt Hon Greg Clark MP announced proposals to modernise the approach taken by regulators, and providing rights for consumers to benefit from their own data are part of package announced today. The Modernising Consumer Markets Green Paper will set out how regulators should ensure that consumers are not being unfairly penalised by suppliers who hold information on their behaviour; look at how their own data can be made more accessible to consumers; and make it easier for people to switch to better value services.
