International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network

The International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN), formerly known as the International Marketing Supervision Network (IMSN), is a membership organization consisting of the trade practices law enforcement authorities of more than three dozen countries, most of which are members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The mandate of the Network is to share information about cross-border commercial activities that may affect consumer interests, and to encourage international cooperation among law enforcement agencies. The working languages of the Network are French and English.

The Network operates under a rotating presidency currently held by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission of Australia until August 2010. The next Presidency will be the Netherlands.
The next ICPEN conferences are:
  • Conference and Best Practices Workshop: 9-13 November 2009, Sydney, Australia

  • Conference: 6-7 May 2010 Washington DC, USA
