International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network
The International Consumer
Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN), formerly known as the
International Marketing Supervision Network (IMSN), is a
membership organization consisting of the trade practices law
enforcement authorities of more than two dozen countries, most of
which are members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and
Development (OECD). The mandate of the Network is to share
information about cross-border commercial activities that may
affect consumer interests, and to encourage international
cooperation
among law enforcement agencies. The working languages of the
Network are French and English.
The Network operates under a rotating presidency, currently held by the Korean Consumer Protection Board until August 2006. The next meeting will be held in Seoul in November 2005.
